Was everyone really vegeterian pre-flood?
by blkblk13 inok it's late and im bored and this might ramble a bit but i got to thinking, the wbts always proposes that everyone, b/f god gave noah permission to eat meat, was vegeterian.
witnesses always talk about how in the new system we will all go back to being vegeterian since i think in isaiah it says the the lion or wolf will graze and eat grass like the lamb or something and it was never gods plan for us to eat meat.. this doesn't sound right to me.
why would god make animals begin to eat each other if it was not according to his plan?

Do you think the Society has spies on sites like this?
by easyreader1970 innot that any of them would post, but do you think that they have people who they secretly have visit anti-jw sites and forums like this just for the purpose of seeing what people are saying about them and what their current members might stumble upon?.
if you google jws, the first couple are official, the next two are wikis, then you have an anti-jw site and then there's this one.
any current or potential member that is looking for more information than is published by the wbts will be directed to these sites.

Simon must make sure that he doesn't break any copyright laws
concerning their stuff, because they are waiting for any
legal pretext to shut him down. -

Pretty sad.
They need to press the issue, and get some "expert" to officially
determine if Scientology fits the definition of a cult, and then
it would be settled.
Just like saying the Catholic Church was responsible for the Inquisition
is simply a statement of historical fact, Scientology's cult status
should be established. -

Why does guilt often remain so long with those who've left the JWs?
by And He Ran ini would be interested in getting people's input in why so many jws - including me from time to time, though less so now - seem to be burdened by guilt after they've left, even after they've successfully faded and aren't being hassled by family or elders.
is it a residual leftover of the indoctrination over the years?
i welcome your comments.

Recovery is necessary. The length of time varies from person to person, but it is necessary.

Most people know King from his books (and subsequent film dramatizations of them), but his short story game is A-one, and I believe it is his favorite.

"Are they spies? Not really. The internet is open to everyone."
I have to disagree. If you look at the definition of spying, that is.
The CIA, for example, has thousands of employees. Only a very small percentage fit the stereotype of the 007 secret agent going on wild adventures. 97%+ of the employees are regular old folks. I was recruited during my last year of college, but declined the offer and instead started studying with the Witnesses. Doh!!!
Anyway, the CIA has employees who read websites, books, magazines, newspapers, etc. in various languages (I speak German, and have since learned Spanish, and smatterings of French, etc.), and write reports. Yep, they pay people to do book reports like you did in fourth grade, only the material is CNN-type shit. Same goes for FBI terror intelligence.
So, actually, the CIA and the FBI have people assigned to us as well. Do they spend as much time as Bethel? Nah. They know we are 99.99% harmless. -

It is not a think, it is a know.
It only makes sense for an organization to gather intelligence on the "opposition."
That is why it is so enjoyable to know that people from Bethel are reading these
various true experiences about the lies, deception, and other things going on in the organization. Of course, it also behooves us to make sure we lay out the truth of our experiences, and not fit the "apoztate!" stereotype so that they write us off. -

Stephen King is a genius.
I don't throw that word around lightly like many do in this age.
Anyway, dude is a genius.
It is crazy to think of the publishers and agents who dissed him in
the beginning, who are now beating themselves up over not recognizing
his talent. -

How do the elders know if you are truly repentent?
by jetery inthe reason why i ask is because whenever u are df and u are trying to get reinstated they are always tellling u that u have to produce fruits befitting repentenace like attending the meetings, etc.
they always make it seem that since they are gods spirit-directed org.
that he will know whether or not if a person is repentent.

It's bullshit.
Since they can't read hearts, all they can go by is actions. If 100 disfellowshipped people all attend the meetings regularly, pay attention, maybe even take notes, and make no attempts to fraternize with congregation members, then 100 people should be getting reinstated in six months or so. Are you reading, elders? Are you reading, Bethel?
This is NOT the case. They bring in all other kinds of bullshit.
